What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Terms and Conditions

Payments

We accept payment by Debit Cards & Credit Cards via PayPal’s PCI compliant secure server. You can make a simple direct payment like any other on line checkout, or use your PayPal Account if you have one (optional) and your transaction is totally secure and protected.

Please DO NOT SEND any CREDIT CARD INFORMATION to us BY EMAIL as internet email is not at all secure. A further option is to send us a Sterling denominated cheque in the post. When sending payment separately, please, please remember to quote your relevant order number!

In all cases goods are only shipped on receipt of payment (cleared funds in the case of payment by cheque).

Export and Non UK orders need to be agreed beforehand, please contact us first.

If you are shopping from outside of the United Kingdom or your usual currency is not Sterling (GBP), contact us to place your order, pay by credit card, and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.

Price

Prices shown on catalogue pages are excluding VAT which will be calculated and shown as TAX in the sub totals of the shopping cart.

Whilst every effort has been made to ensure that prices are correct at the time of publishing, prices are subject to alteration throughout the year and may be changed without notice. No responsibility can be taken for any errors or omissions contained in it. Prices charged will be those ruling at the time of invoice. Orders are subject to packing and carriage charges.

Delivery Charges

UK Mainland, Highlands & Islands  only – For other destinations, please contact us.

VAT

Export orders outside of the EC are free of VAT subject to provision of proof of shipment. Export to countries within the EC will be charged free of VAT on advice of current VAT registration number.

Delivery & Consequential Damage

While the Company will do its utmost to adhere to any time stated for delivery, it shall not be liable for any loss or damage howsoever caused, by any delay in delivery, completion, or performance of any contract, and any time stated for delivery shall not be a term of any contract or a representation.

In the event of the Company being unable to supply or deliver goods ordered it undertakes to refund any money paid in respect of such goods, but shall not otherwise be under any liability whatsoever. The Company shall not in any event be liable for consequential damage or loss.

Claims

Damaged or short deliveries must be notified within three days to ourselves for claims to be accepted.

Terms of Payment

All goods are supplied on a Pro Forma basis unless alternative arrangements have been agreed and confirmed.

Use of Goods

The Customer must satisfy himself that any goods ordered by him are suitable for his purposes and the Company will not accept responsibility for any damage or loss directly or indirectly arising as a result of any incorrect or inadequate advice or recommendation.

Cancellation of Order / Return of Goods

Orders can be cancelled (by email or contact us form) and full refund given prior to goods being despatched. After despatch of goods and within a period of 10 days, goods can be returned by arrangement (email or contact us form) for a refund less the cost of Shipping. After 10 Days, no goods will be accepted by the Company for credit, replacement or repair without prior agreement. The Company will not supply goods on a sale or return basis. A 10% handling charge will be levied for any goods returned unless incorrectly supplied.

Warranties

Subject to the appropriate statutory limitations, no condition is made or to be implied, nor is any warranty given or to be implied, as to the quality, life, wear or suitability of any such goods supplied by the Company.

Credit Card Security

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. Polymarine Limited follow the PCI compliance code and do not take or store any credit card information.  All transactions take place on PayPal’s PCI compliant secure server Information is protected by SSL with an encryption key length of 168 bits (the highest level commercially available)

Ownership & Risk

The Company retains title and ownership of all goods supplied by them until payment of goods has been received in full otherwise purchaser may only transfer title as our agent, irrespective of incorporation of goods in manufactured product, on condition they act as trustee, responsible and accountable for any monies outstanding.

Law of Contract

Any contract entered into by the Company shall be governed by the Laws of England and Wales.
